From Bay Village, Ohio 

Megan Constance Altieri was born in 1990 in Bay Village, Ohio. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Art Education and Psychology from Hope College in 2013. For the past 4 years, she has worked in Grand Rapids, Michigan as a high school art teacher at Wellspring Preparatory High School. Conceptually, her work focuses on the effect of relationships on identity, the peculiarity of human nature, and the explortion of the visceral world. Formally, her work can be seen in both two and three dimensions and addresses visual dichotomies through reduction carving and the manipulation of found materials, fabric, and thread.

The SUV Series has been shown in Flex Gallery at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts. Her mixed media sculptures have been shown in The Calming Effect at Spiral Gallery as well as the Waterloo Arts Juried Exhibition in Cleveland, Ohio.
